Our People
AJB has delivered in Qatar for more than 20 years with many engineers visiting Qatar to serve the various projects. It was in 2008 that AJB maintained permanent staff in Qatar and established an office to serve the increasing demand in construction projects, hence being one of the early Testing & Commissioning Agencies to get fully established in the country. This initiative was led by Mr. Hratch Michael Vartanian who has more than 40 years of experience in the industry and delivered tens of major projects in Qatar and throughout the region.
Currently, the Qatar Office of AJB is led by Mr. Vartanian and Mr. Jobran Hammoud, who both have brought a successful approach to delivering testing & commissioning services, leading to repeat clients working with AJB throughout the years. With his background in Consulting and Project Management, Jobran Hammoud brings a wealth of expertise in understanding the Owner’s requirements and compliance with the Consultant’s specifications, in addition to delivering commissioning projects within the project time and quality procedures. Jobran has specific expertise in Commissioning for LEED-certified projects, being a LEED Accredited Professional.
The technical operations of AJB are led by Mr. Bashar Aser, who follows closely the technical and operational aspects of all AJB projects in Qatar. Bashar has a dynamic and resilient approach to delivery, and has risen quickly to manage successful delivery in Independent Commissioning, Testing & Balancing, as well as Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
AJB always ensures to hire the best engineers and technicians with a wide array of expertise, in the systems disciplines as well as building typologies. AJB’s policy is to hire staff for the long term, to capitalize on their long experience, and deliver efficiently to clients. Currently there are more than 40 engineers and technicians serving the various projects in Qatar, with a further pool of engineers and project managers that are available from other branches in the region, who can be readily available for complex and mega projects, and especially those projects with challenging timelines.
In order to meet the opening deadline of Al Janoub (Wakrah) Stadium on 16th May 2019, AJB had more than 45 engineers and technicians on-site carrying out testing and commissioning works.
